Writing & Editing

We all have our strengths and writing is one of mine. There's nothing like being in a zone—where ideas flow faster than your fingers can type and time passes without notice. I also excel at editing others' work, which, when done well, retains the writer's voice. Editing examples are more difficult to share ("Look at this great story! Should have seen the original!"), so trust me—I've sweat red ink while polishing many a piece to perfection. (Just don't ask me to help with your tax returns.)

Currently, I write the "Chat Room" column for L.A. Parent and LAParent.com - profiles of authors, activists, actors and anyone else of interest to families. I served as travel editor and launched "The Woman's Pages," a mini-women's magazine within LAP. At Imagineering, I edited the WDeye print and online editions.
